The owl connects a classical tested game principle with innovative technology. The stand-up figure in a simple, sustainable wooden or colorful plastic appearance has a digital core, which includes a tilt sensor, a babyphone and a camera.The tilt sensor system controls LED ring display depending on tilt direction.
Color of lighting can be controlled via an application, so that the parents can join the experience. Our owl supports the motoric comprehension of toddlers and it is perfectly adjusted to their needs through a parametric surface, which minimizes risk of harm. Furthermore, it includes a smart processor which is focussed on battery life and ensures a long lasting playing time. Looking in particular at smart home environments, the owl integrates perfectly and acts as a connection between old and new, between fun and learning for toddlers. The integration in game scenarios and character-based game development forms a fundamental and expandable game concept.

PASTA BOARD

This Pasta Board captures the current food trend of manufacturing food such as e.g. pasta. Especially in the motherland of pasta, Italy, pasta culture is very distinct. Pasta is one of the most popular dishes in the world, but only a handful of people are producing pasta themselves. The organic structure is based on a parametric design and embodies the fluidity of water and mediates proximity to the ocean and nature. Produced in beechwood by milling, the board is resistant, food-grade and, together with its dynamic design, pleasant for the users hands.

CARABINER GENERATOR

With this generator, you can generate your own individual carabiner. Through a self-developed interface, which is connected to the interface of our partner Shapediver, a background image can be chosen out of the library and you can adjust the outline of the carabiner by simply adding and moving points. The outlines are inspired by mountain ranges and climbing routes, so the user can create a carabiner according to their past or coming adventures. Background images are also connected to a community system. Through that, you can explore others adventures, experiences and carabiners, and exchange with them about climbing routes and destinations. You can then modify different options concerning height, width and material thickness as well as color of the carabiner and the texture of the clasp to add the finishing touches. The carabiner is produced in one of three different sizes, and the file of the model can be downloaded if wanted. The production is done through steel 3D printing and an external partner concerning sport variants. At the moment, the interface is still in development.

Drone

We create the future of the aircraft industry. Concept and development of a cargo drone for transport of goods and medication. Complex, organic surface design using parametric design and SubD ribbing. High quality materials for outer casing and autonomous acting intelligent electronics are the main features of the Cargo Drone. The Cargo Drone was configured via a web interface and in co-creation as part of the Cargo Drone challenge of Airbus.

Beatbox

Design and realization of a pen box as innovative product design that can also be used as a sound instrument – the Beatbox. Production in wood from certified sustainable forestry and made by mechanical work. The golden mean of functional product design and sound design: in combination with a pen the riffled surface makes the beatbox sound like a South American guiro. The smooth side made of fine mahogany wood, for example, provides the clave in the rhythm section. The magnetic clasp holds the pens in place so they can be transported safely. From a meeting to a jamsession or vice versa.

BAKING MOLD GENERATOR

This generator is used to create baking molds using parametric 3D-modeling. The product is based on a bionic design and is refined using polygonal abstraction in order to appeal to a wide audience and fulfill our self-proclaimed aspiration of modernness. The form can be customized by the user through a range of different options. For example, size and form can be modified as well as texture and you can add custom text. Macaron, cupcake, pies or yet a whole birthday cake? Our generator provides opportunities to choose different types of cake and the volume of the respective form can be precisely adjusted after creating the desired form. The model-viewer as well as the interface is based on the technology of our partner Shapediver and ensures satisfaction through a realistic depiction of the mold, as well as the option to view your mold in augmented reality to simulate it in its use-case-environment. The molds are made out of silicon and additionally the file of the model can be downloaded.

Butterknife

Sustainable butter knife and other culinary tools for kitchen and garden purposes. Clear reference to the monastery garden and the old herb and bread and butter culture. We designed the product concept and the development of the prototypes. The collected works were documented and published by Prof. Dr. Sabine Foraita, Laura Buschmann and Martin Erdmann.

Spice culture

Spice culture: Product family for the storage and organization of spices and other cooking goods. 32 glass vessels were provided with individually produced silicone seals and laser engraved. Ein geprägter Gewürzlöffel dient zur Feindosierung. Embossed spice spoon for fine dosing. CNC-milled storage system made of red wood grips the vessels and presents them in the environment. Prototype construction using our own tools.

Keshiki: Robust tool made of aluminum for drawing parallel lines. Cast tool for the craftsman and artist for applying parallel lines on a wooden workpiece under extreme conditions. High quality, stable and weatherproof against cold and heat.

TENT

Our self-designed and self-manufactured tent stands for modernity, lightweight construction, comfort and aesthetic. The materials allow an easy transport and construction through their lightweight character and, together with their polygonal aesthetic, just look stunning. Red and yellow as warm colors harmonize together and can be well seen in the natural environment to avoid accidents. The colors also convey a pleasant atmosphere inside the tent. The inner tent withstands all natural conditions, is equipped with a mosquito net and is divided into an awning and a sleeping part with enough space for two adventurers.

Suitable to our lightweight tent, this tent peg ties in with its polygonal design and perfectly adapts to the overall aesthetic. Due to its stackable design, he is easily transportable and furthermore provides a good target for tools in order to root it into the earth. Rounded holes and inlets at the side are optimal to fixate the ropes. The Choice of corrosion-resistant V4A stainless steel ensures endurance against the natural circumstances.
